Who is Maryssa Smith?
Maryssa Smith is an emerging talent on the New York City comedy scene. She is a Comic, Producer, Actress, Podcaster and Writer. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester, New York her style is both edgy and sophisticated. Maryssa’s observational storytelling is hilarious and leaves you craving more. Her smooth delivery and keen wit are very memorable. Maryssa has performed at many of New York City’s premier comedy clubs, such as Caroline’s on Broadway, Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and The Stand just to name a few. Featured in the Westchester Comedy Festival, Hudson Valley Comedy Festival and the Baltimore Comedy Festival you may have also seen her on the Dr. Oz Show, The Wendy Williams Show or the Chew. She has also been featured in the documentary Words: An Expression of Identity. Maryssa Smith has her finger on the pulse of her generation.

Founded in 2009, Fashionably Funny Productions has been committed to diversity and excellence. Since its inception FFP has produced shows across New York City and Westchester County. We have worked with the New Rochelle Police Department to build bridges with the Community. We are dedicated to providing our audience with an affordable opportunity to see the best and brightest comedic minds we can procure. Fashionably Funny has had performers from across the globe as well as comic’s you’ve seen on Comedy Central, MTV, NBC, ABC, FOX, HBO, Showtime, TV Land and feature films. FFP believes in creating a welcoming and safe space for artist’s to hone their craft. We currently produce monthly, Merriment and Mortification at Otto's Shrunken Head and namesake Fashionably Funny at Broadway Comedy Club.
